I got a cb radio

Hey all my blog readers of Kyle's Free Space what's up so today I'm blogging about CB radio also known as Citizen Band. Cb has mostly 40 channels and operates from 26.965 MHz to 27.405 MHz. The FCC wont let you go past that because then your entering ham radio bands which required a license for that. So my CB is a Cherokee CBS 500 CB base station it has 40 channels like we talked about. I use only 19 and 6 for now. I went to Walmart and bought a cheap antenna everyone said it is crap because it picks up signals when it wants to. I did talked skip to a guy in the southern part of the Bahamas that is 1,528 miles from me. I went on there and asked (Hey Breaker 6 Breaker 6 can I can a radio check?) I got a response of (Yea 10-4 your red metering my radio from the Bahamas copy?) I replied (10-4 Bahamas I got you loud and clear 73's. Which is radio term for good bye on the airwaves.

 I am going to buy a whole lot better antenna because this one works when it wants to but maybe it will work during the time I transmitted and bounced signals of the ionosphere. I talked to a couple folks in Georgia, Kentucky and one from out of country which is the Bahamas. Ham Radio does the same thing but with no channels just frequencies and a licensed operator I like talking on the CB its fun I am hoping when I get a better antenna I could talk around to people in my town and some truck drivers on the highway. Possibly some skips which is what I did to talk to the guy in the Bahamas and the other states.

CB not a lot of people use them except truck drivers and other people that have interest in them. Most people who have ham radios have CB radios just don't use them anymore. I am still doing my ham radio stuff all there is left is to pass the test which is hard to do don't want to talk about that today maybe some other time. So CB a very fun hobby it is Inexpensive and Expensive you can get a car setup for around 200 depends if you decided to go with good branded equipment they got $40 dollar cb's at Walmart and the antenna I have the radio is not that bad its pretty good from what I have
heard.

I'm Taking Ham Radio Classes

Hey all my blog readers of Kyle's Free Space whats up???. So about a month ago my mom helped me find a local ham radio class. I am studying to get my first license in amateur radio that is called the technician license then I test for General and Amateur Extra. The reason why they said it is a license its because this test is the license is by the government. I have to go do 4 classes and 2 tests. The reason why I'm doing 2 tests because I'm getting 2 licenses. The more I get more bandwidth I go to the classes they help people pass and give them guidance. I have 3 classed remaining I test the 2nd week of April.

Oh I forgot to say If you don't know what ham radio is you should go online and look I don't really want to explain it all. But after I pass I will be transmitting after the FCC uploads my callsign. But first I have to pass. Then I will be picking out my radio I do have a handheld transiever but I cannot transmit on it till I am licensed I honestly cannot wait till I pass the test. K so enough about that your possibly very tired of that .

So about a month or so ago I ordered this thing for my flight simulator on my computer called a flight yoke it almost looks like a driving wheel. But it is shaped like a U its pretty cool I fly Cessna 172 SkyHawks with is It was worth it I'm not going to say what I payed that's private but the brand is called Ch Products Flight Sim Yoke. It is awesome their is other brands I personally cant not buy it because it is 200 dollars this one is 125 but not what i Payed for it.

My Favorite Movie

Hey all my blog readers of Kyle's Free Space what's up???.  So today I'm blogging about my favorite movie. I really love the movie series Back To The Future 1,2,3. I first saw them in the year 2010. My dad recommended it to me he watched it as a kid because were in to syfi. I would give that movie 10-10 they were all amazing the acting was on point everyone just nailed it. I would of loved to see a 4th but it would of killed the series they ended it correctly but destroying the time machine. Im not going to say a lot about the movie I dont want spoil it for people who have not seen it but if you have not seen it then you need to buy it soon because its amazing.

The movie is about a teen named Marty McFly and he has a friend his name Is Doctor Emmett Brown. He is a man in his 60's who is a inventor me takes a DMC Delorean and turns it into a time machine.  When the car hit 88mph it would leave blue sparks everywhere and it would disappear. It would leave flames in its path and travel into the selected year. It could go into the future or into the past. It is really amazing for a movie made in the 80's and 90's it was really good for it graphics in that year.

The movie is really awesome I just can't explain how amazing the series is. I seen the entire series in the movie theater because they had back to the future day in 2015 I forgot the exact day but it was amazing for me because that was something I always wanted to do, People even dressed up as the people I wish I would of thought of that. It is amazing to see how many fans watched it growing up and then seen it in their adult days and where able to dress up. Alright this will be it for today so have a good one.

Great Day For Flying

Hey all my blog readers of Kyle's Free Space what's up??? Today I'm going to fly a plane! not really I will be in a simulator. I have this flight simulator on my computer called FSX Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I take my simulators very seriously I do all these checklists on my plane. I do it to make sure everything is running smoothly and working the way it should be. I fly a 1979 Cessna 172 Skyhawk I always depart out of San Marcos, Texas airport KHYI. Unless I fly somewhere and fly back to San Marcos to return my plane to my hanger. I have over 500 hours of flight time under my belt. I even have a logbook of all the places I have flown to I flew from San Marcos, Texas last night to San Antonio, Texas that took 2 hours real life time.

I flew VFR the entire was IFR was not possible because there was no clouds at the time. IFR is where your flying above the clouds you see nothing below you just clouds. VFR Is where you say you want to fly over Austin, Texas you will be able to see it so that's about 3000ft to 5000ft. I have done many VFR flights and a few IFR flights IFR is not my favorite because you miss a lot of scenery but its a good view if you love the clouds. VFR is amazing you see a bunch of scenery It is amazing to see all the things. I love flying over Dallas Fort Worth at night it is a lot bigger from the sky view the city lights are crazy if you fly North and South the lights are in a big trail. If you would of went West and East the light die quickly.

Daytona 500

Hey all my blog readers of Kyle's Free Space what's up???. So yesterday I watched the Daytona 500 I watched all 200 laps. I was routing for Kyle Busch he did not win he came in 3rd place. I really was hoping Denny Hamlin would win and he did!. He won a Daytona in his rookie year which is this year 2016. It was a amazing race I saw a few big crashes sadly the one I also was routing for crashed into a wall. I was routing for 3 people only Denny Hamlin won Kyle Busch was 3rd place.

It was really a awesome race I recently just started watching NASCAR about 3 months ago. I was just in time for the Daytona 500. I will be watching the Sprint cup February 28th That will be fun I think their racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway In Georgia. I am excited about that hoping that Kyle Busch will be racing in it. Or at least Denny Hamlin The guy who won the Daytona 500. The Race was cool they had a squadron of F-16's fly over the track.

This will be the last paragraph today. I will be posting photos of the cars from the track and post some really cool photos no I did not go to the race I watched it on TV so all these photos I posted are from Sports Center's website. I don't OWN them The Man who won Number 11 Denny Hamlin was in 5th before he speed up and won the Daytona it was a crazy move but he did it.

Welding

Hey all my blog readers of Kyle's Free Space what's up???. So today I'm going to be blogging about welding in case you don't know what that is I'm not a whole lot interested in writing a book about welding. There are many forms online you can find information. Alright so I'm going to be writing about my welding experience. So my dad Is a pro welder knows everything there is to know about it. I asked him if he could teach me I have had some torch welding experience in the past but that's totally different. For Christmas my dad purchased me a welding helmet I finally got to use it this past Sunday. He put together the welding machine we gathered all our scrap metal and got welding!

He first showed me the important measures of safety of welding because it can lead to serious injuries and possibly death. He told me that I need to protect every inch of my body I wore a nice jacked, some old jeans and shoes of course. I did have my welding helmet and welding gloves on you have to wear a helmet because the sparks from the welding will make you blind or have very bad vision so always have protection. My dad allowed me to attach my GoPro to my helmet so I could have the first person welders view which was incredible. I am also going to explain 3 types of welding alright so I will be making a little list and paragraph below about certain types of welding.

1. There is GMAW welding also known as MIG welding, MIG welding is the most commonly mastered welding. MIG welding is used for industry welding and house use. MIG means (Metal Inert Gas)

2. TIG welding Is the hardest type of welding it takes so much skill to do. It is totally different from MIG welding to TAC welding.  TIG means (Tungsten Inter Gas)

3 Stick Welding is also known as Shielded metal arc (SMAW) is one of the easiest type of welding. I did MIG welding with my dad. It is pretty fun but it is dangerous

What I mean about dangerous is that I burned my self I picked up metal by accident without my gloves on. That was my own mistake but I wont do that again. I have to say welding is not for everyone it is uncomfortable at times. The possessing does kind of move your body in funny ways. Any real welder will have a story about either burning them self of doing something stupid. Great White Shark

Hey all my blog readers of Kyle's Free Space what's up???. So today I'm going to be blogging about the Great White Shark. I am going to give you some facts about them ok here we go. A great white sharks species is a fish. The great white shark is a vertebrate. Those are not all the facts I have a bunch of papers full because I just got finished with a report well I finished it yesterday but doing final touches. Alright here are some more facts a sharks calcification is a mammal. The great white shark is a endangered animal. There are some important facts lets move to a new paragraph.

You can find sharks commonly in certain areas on the map you can google the shark map and you can find them. Most sharks are in the West coast Near California some run up to parts of southern Canada and south west Alaska. You can find them In the Bahamas and pretty much every were else there will be a picture listed of were they are commonly found. I don't know that countries to be exact because the map I have don't show the names. Well this will be it for today I will list that photo below
